5 types of Drawing styles you can try TODAY!

Hey, guys, whenever we think about sketching, we always think about that same old regular sketching, but there are many other styles you can learn, but the question is, why?

Sketching is a fun process, but in this process, you can't just draw; usually, you have to pick a style.

Picking a style gives you and your art an expression, and it's easy to recognize your work. I have made my Top 5 list of drawing styles; you can start right now and even pick it, master it, and make yours.

  1. Caricature

  2. Cartoon style

  3. Line art

  4. Doodle art

  5. Perspective

Caricature

It looks similar to the Cartoon style, but it's a bit different. In this, subjects are depicted as overdramatized—manner like enlarging someone's nose or lips, as we can see here.

It gives some humoristic value to the art, which is funny to most people.

It is getting trendy around people and events nowadays as it can give you something to laugh at, and seeing yourself as a newspaper cartoon character is fun!

You can see this style in many newspapers, funnily showing politics and events. Here, we can see the Chronicle Herald posting a caricature sketch of Justin Trudeau.

Cartoon Style

Cartoon style has similar things to caricature style, like inclined to humor and making some of the parts significant, like eyes, but it has completely different uses, like showing emotions that the character is showing. There, are different styles in cartoon style

like Anime or Comic.

Anime - Japanese style animation and has a variety of topics like Doremon, which is for children, and Cyberpunk edge runners, which is for mature audiences.

Comic - has a more Western approach and consists of animation we have seen, like Spiderman and Rick and Morty.

By learning this, you can also opt for 2D animations, which are excellent for graphic design firms.

Line Art

Line Drawing is one of the best ways to start drawing as we use different lines or one line to make the artwork. It looks aesthetically pleasing, and you can frame it and use it as a decoration.

The line art looks very rough, which is fantastic. You can even use watercolors to make it more appealing. You have to take an outliner and make lines as you want.

Doodle Art

Doodle is an effortless style of Drawing. It is something you do when you are in your school on the backside of the book. This is like fun, and no effort to make something. It helps your mind to relax and have fun. It can be anything you want; it is the easiest style on the list.

You can even make an art piece like this if you think a lot and plan it properly.

Like here we can see a Mickey Mouse artwork. Filled with doodles, which gives the painting a different kick and feel.

One of the best and most famous Doodle artists is Mr. Doodle, with 2.9 million followers, and he just got famous by making doodles and posting on Instagram.

Perspective

As an artist, we all should know perspective. It's a style and a fundamental for art. If we get a hold of this in style, we can make any person, place anything at any angle.
