5 must-haves to start your Art Journey

Before you start learning drawing, you should know what we should have and what quality products we should invest in at the start, so I have made a list of 5 things you must get before you start.

1. High quality pencils

Quality pencils like Curry's and Stedlers look expensive, but they are not; they are just 23 cents, but why you should get quality pencils only because it doesn't fade away with time like any other standard pencils.

Even the graphite quality is way different and more excellent than the standard pencils you get.

As these products are your base products, it's important that you get the highest quality of that particular product.

2. Outliners

Outliners are a good way to make your art piece stand out. It gives that dark black outline to all the drawings we see. It's amazing to make different things like Line art; every artist on planet Earth uses this, and I think you should use it too. The brand Sakura Pigma Micron is the most

trusted outliner, to my knowledge. I have been using these since I started, and they are the best.

3. Brush markers

Brush markers are the more creative and fantastic version of our standard markers; the best thing about these markers is that you can make the thinnest and the thickest line with this marker alone.

These markers can also be used as an outliner if you need that caricature to look at your sketch. The marker works like a Brush but avoids all the problems of our standard brushes.

4. Watercolors

Watercolors are the easiest and one of the most fun ways to paint. And you don't have to buy different products to mix your product like oil paints... you just use Water, that's all Hehe.

The probability of the watercolors is impressive, and you get Watercolors in all shapes and sizes. Here,

I have these Watercolor cakes with a pallet; you can also have cakes in a box of tin.

Fun tip- always use cakes in watercolors because it has more life than tubes.

5. A small sketchbook

Of course, you should have a big sketchbook, but there is a problem... you can't take that big sketchbook everywhere in today's time, and you can't even take it out and sketch on it because we can't handle that big book if we are sketching in the subway.

That's where the small sketchbook comes into the picture; you can use it anywhere and take the sketchbook anywhere on an airplane, in the subway, etc. It's an excellent tool for practicing sketching random people fast, so it's good exercise for your hand as well.

In the end, I will say that the last and most important thing you should have is a will and curiosity to explore because if you don’t have that, you can't do anything, and I believe that people who are reading it have that. It's the most essential thing, yet people tend to ignore it.

So that was my list of 5 must-haves; if you like this blog and want to know more, Subscribe now to my blog.
